Dedication and Prologue

To every heart that has known pain yet still chooses kindness.

To the souls who were abandoned but never lost hope.

And to those who believe that even in the darkest corners of fate, love has the power to find its way.

This story is for you.

They say some names are spoken only in whispers.

Some command respect. Others inspire loyalty. But there are a rare few whose mere mention can drain the color from a room.

Vidyut Suryavanshi was one of those names.

At twenty-eight years old, he had built an empire that stretched across continents, ruling his criminal network with cold precision and unwavering discipline. Tall, imposing, and physically formidable, he carried himself with an air of absolute authority. His piercing green eyes seemed to miss nothing, while his sharp features and reserved demeanor made him nearly impossible to read.

To him, emotions were distractions. Love, family, and romance were weaknesses that clouded judgment, and he had no intention of allowing them into his carefully controlled life. His only ambition was expanding the empire he had spent years creating.

Yet even the most powerful men could not escape family expectations.

His relatives insisted it was time for him to marry and secure the future of the family name—a suggestion he dismissed at every opportunity.

Far from the luxury and influence surrounding his world lived a nineteen-year-old girl whose life had been shaped by hardship. Small in stature and undernourished from years of neglect, she appeared younger than her age. After losing her parents, she was taken in by her uncle's family, where kindness was scarce and every day felt like another burden to endure.

When her uncle found himself trapped beneath overwhelming debt, desperation overcame morality. Seeing no other way to repay what he owed, he made a choice that would change both of their lives forever.

Under the pretense of attending a birthday celebration, he drove her to an enormous estate on the outskirts of the city. Assuring her that the rest of the family would arrive shortly, he asked her to wait at the entrance.

Then he left.

The sound of his car faded into the distance, leaving only silence and towering iron gates before her.

Standing alone with uncertainty tightening around her heart, she had no idea that crossing those gates would pull her into a world of power, secrets, and dangerous alliances one from which there would be no easy escape.
